I have 6 gauge tapers in and want to put in my 8 gauge plug?

I have 6 gauge tapers and cured.
I want to put in my 6 gauge plug, but I wanted to make sure I knew properly
insert the plug if I do not do any damage to my ear.

My ears are gauged to a 8 gauge but the plugs wont fit.Any ideas how to pop them in?

Are the plugs replicate flared? Are they bigger on both ends than they are in the middle?

If they are, that is why. Plugs are measured in the stomach so if they are double flared the flares are a full size larger. You lack single flared or no flare plugs.
