Is it appropriate to wear a French cuff shirt (and cuff links) with a three-button suit?

I always intellect that it was only appropriate with a more "traditional" jacket, spirit the two-button, I don't know where I heard that but nobody seems to know the answer to this one.
Of surely! This is how you achieve a very classy look! I think it looks faithful! And screw traditional.. today's business world is all about latest and edgy!

Cuff links are only drawn on shirts that have French cuffs. These cuffs fold back on themselves and have duplicate button holes (no buttons.) You put the cuff links through both sets of button holes. You remarkably can't use cuff links if the shirt has button cuffs.
